To better integrate educational resources into the student community and create a dynamic platform for communication, ICARE held “Leadership Luncheon” events at noon on May 12th and 13th, 2025. These sessions took place in the N303 Conference Room of the Clean Energy Building and the Party Member Activity Room of the Zisong “One-Stop” Student Activity Center.

Mr. Sun Lu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Energy and Power Engineering; Dr. Zou Mingqing, Vice Dean of ICARE; and student counselor Ms. Zhao Yiting had lunch with 26 student representatives from various cohorts. They engaged in candid conversations on student development, curriculum planning, and campus life.

The luncheons created a warm and open atmosphere where both students and faculty shared ideas on course management, teaching content, extracurricular activities, and career guidance. Some students suggested aligning curriculum content more closely with emerging technologies to meet the needs of the new era. Others recommended enhancing instruction on key research software to improve research readiness. ICARE leadership attentively listened to each suggestion and responded in detail.

Dr. Zou Mingqing remarked, “ICARE is student-centered. We value your opinions and continuously strive to improve our teaching and services. I'm grateful for the opportunity to speak directly with students and hear your genuine thoughts. Your feedback will guide us as we implement reforms to support ICARE’s high-quality development.”

Mr. Sun Lu added, “ICARE’s growth relies on the joint efforts of both faculty and students. Your strong sense of responsibility and commitment to the institute's future is truly inspiring. I encourage you to continue engaging actively, contributing your creativity and energy to ICARE’s ongoing development.”

This luncheon was a key initiative in ICARE’s implementation of the “Three-All Education” approach—education by all staff, throughout the entire process, and in all aspects. It successfully fostered mutual understanding and trust between faculty and students, boosting student enthusiasm and their sense of responsibility. Going forward, ICARE will continue to offer diverse communication channels, regularly listen to student voices, respond to their needs, and build a more supportive environment for both student and faculty growth.
